Road Restoration Work

Details of Road Restoration Work

In infrastructure project specifically underground work, required Road Restoration Work (for a new project) before the rainy season. It's necessary to avoid road traffic and road accident also.
Like - Waterline, Drainage line or sewage line, Gas line, Telecommunication line, Electrical Cables

After Road excavation for pipe or cable laying below the ground level, need to excavate a minimum of 1m to 1.5m(it depends on pipe, cable, slop, design, pipe type, pipe quality)

After pipe or cable laying needs to backfill of excavated soil, that soil compact with soil Compactor with compacting by watering the soil and the second alternative is to leave that soil for 10-15days at At least, that method help soil to settle down. earlier the final layer of CC, use to wet edge with water & after Cement Surry both edge of Road for Good bonding with old and new Concrete Layer.

GSB-Granular sub-base
DLC- a layer of dry lean concrete

CC 200mm(Top Layer)
DLC 150mm(Below CC Layer)
GSB 150mm(Below DLC Layer)
Murum 300mm(Below GSB Layer/Last Layer)
Total Thickness of 800mm

It's little bit vary site to site

Curing is a very important part of this
Guni bags support curing for a long time.
in Summer days need at least 5 times in a day for 10 days
in Winter days need 3-4 times in a day for 10 days.

Equipment for Road Restoration work
One Bag Concrete Mixture without Hopper(Diesel)
Hand Vibrator Machine Electric
50m Extension wire with industrial safety socket
Level Patti(Aluminum Randa Patti)
Wire Brush

RCC Pipe Weight Calculation

                   RCC Pipe Weight Calculation

For Example we consider 200mm RCC Pipe

Inner Diameter of Pipe (ID) (R₁) = 20cm = 0.2m

Outer Diameter of Pipe (OD) (R₂) = 25cm = 0.25m

Length of RCC Pipe L = 1m

Density of RCC = 2500 kg/m³

We need to calculate Volume of RCC Pipe

The Volume of OD = Лr₁² x L

The Volume of ID = Лr₂² x L

Total Volume of RCC Pipe = Л x (Лr₂² - Лr₁² ) x L = Л x {(0.25)²-(0.2)²} x 1 = 0.07068 m³

Now the weight of RCC Pipe Calculation

Weight of RCC Pipe = Volume of RCC Pipe x Density of Material

0.07068 x 2500 = 176.714 Kg

Weight of RCC Pipe is 176.714 Kg

Difference between Hume pipe and Spun Pipe

RCC Pipe is known as a Hume pipe and also Spun Pipe only difference is the manufacturing process. This type of pipe Majorly used in Sewage or Drainage line project as well as in Irrigation & Culverts Projects.

RCC Hume pipe available in Diameter of 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, and 450mm etc. NP2, NP3, NP4 this such type of varies classification in RCC Hume pipe. This classification pipe manufacturing Process follow as per IS458(2003) Specification.

usually Collar Joint type of used in Drainage line Project.

Advantage of RCC Pipe-

* Much better than M.S.Pipe or Metal Pipe in Cost, The cost of the pipe as low as compare to M.S.Pipe or Metal Pipe

* RCC pipe anti Rusting (in Metal Pipe more chances of Rusting)

* It is suitable and useful in any Soft Soil.

A disadvantage of RCC Pipe-

* RCC Hume pipe difficult to Shifting mostly used heavy equipment/Machinery in shifting process.

* Tough for handing and laying process in hard murum and Rock as well as in Depth, it takes to much time for abject level and Joints
